| Jim Paine, sail number 17 was sailing
a Mistral 272 board with a concrete wave 30 cm fin and Naish Kahula 5.9 m sq sail when he
achieved the fastest run of the week at 31.51 knots. He also sailed a Mistral 278 and a 303 SLE board. The 303 SLE board is unusual in that it has a stepped under surface. The steps being of 2-3mm depth and designed to help the board 'un-stick'.
