In the early 1980's some French radio control sailors introduced the first 2m multihull class. These are monstrous machines, with an unrestricted sailplan on a 2.8 meter high mast.

2 meters long x 2 meters wide x 2.8 meters tall mast  or  6'6" x 6'6" x 9'2" tall masts and weighing as little as 12 Lbs.
