Speed Week 2004 - Results & Pictures

5th October 2004  Was ann 'Epic Day' more than 800 runs recorded, more than 50 contestants on the water and more than 20 entrants bettered 30 knots and the Weymouth record of 36 knots set by Crossbow II in 1980 was beaten by Bjorn Dunkerbeck.

One contestant (Bjorn Haake No 4) with GPS recorded a distance travelled of 181 km!

Sail Rocket and Wind Jet put in some very encouraging runs both recording more than 20 kts and looking very stylish.


Spectators are always welcome, the Weymouth & Portland Sailing Academy is open to all during Speed Week.
