| In 2001 the Dutch team
returned with yet another very interesting craft. This was a relatively
conventional looking catamaran but built from flax!
This interesting curve results from plotting the data obtained by towing the craft depicted below behind a 30hp Dory. The drag is measured in pounds.
Neils and his team also used a more conventional hull, similar in appearance to a Laser but using a kite as the means of power.

In 1997 the Dutch team entered this very sophisticated pivoting wing catamaran which performed splendidly in the light winds that prevailed for much of that year's event.
